First grade has been learning about our amazing Wyckoff community! We teamed up with our 5th grade book buddies to build a gingerbread version of our town! We even got to Zoom with a 2nd grade class in Florida to share about our community with them and hear about theirs, too!

1st & 5th grade book buddies at Washington School worked together on the GingerbreadSTEM project. 1st graders learned about our community. Then, with their book buddies, constructed a building in our community that offers goods or services. To culminate the project, we had a Zoom meeting with a school in the Citrus County School district in Florida to compare our communities!

Today, second graders reviewed previous word study concepts using a white board and Pop It!

Schools will run on a 90-min delayed opening today, December 18, 2023.
