Coolidge School Update 6/9/25

We have a busy week planned at Coolidge School. Read carefully below for the latest information and updates…

We have two field trips planned for the upcoming week. Third grade will be visiting the Weis Environmental Center in Ringwood, and the fifth grade will be enjoying a day at the YMCA Spring Lake in Wyckoff. Both trips are planned for Tuesday, and further information has/will be sent to those parents. Wednesday is the rain date for the fifth-grade trip.

Coolidge School will continue its tradition of celebrating Flag Day with a brief ceremony outdoors around the flag pole on Friday morning, June 13th. All students and staff are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue.

The 4th and 5th-grade instrumental band students will perform two concerts on Thursday, June 12th. The first concert will take place at 2 pm for the student body. The second concert will take place at 7:00 PM for parents and guests. New this year, the evening concert will take place at Eisenhower Middle School.

This year’s Kindergarten Celebration will take place on June 11th at 11:00 AM in each Kindergarten classroom. The Kindergarten teachers have provided more information to the parents in each class.

The Lost and Found is overflowing! All items will be donated to a local charity at the end of the school year, so please stop by the front foyer to look for any missing articles of clothing. Parents are encouraged to write their child’s name on pieces of clothing so they can be returned to them during the school day.

Please join me in congratulating Mrs. Doughan on her upcoming retirement! Mrs. Doughan has dedicated herself to the Wyckoff Schools for 24 years, serving as a math specialist at Washington School and, most recently, as a fourth-grade teacher at Coolidge School. We thank her for all that she has done for our students and the impact she has had on them.

THE WIZARD OF OZ- RECAP AND THANK YOU

Congratulations to the cast and crew of The Wizard of Oz! Students should be so proud of their hard work and effort, as well as their incredible singing, dancing, and acting skills. They put a smile on our faces and entertained us! A huge thank you goes out to the many staff members who went above and beyond to volunteer their time for the students. Thank you to Mr. Cosman for his creativity, talents, and effort in making it all come together. Lastly, we could not have done it without our amazing parent volunteers and the financial support of the Coolidge PTO.

BICYCLE SAFETY RALLY- GRADES 3-4- JUNE 11TH

MESSAGE FROM THE PTO: It's that time of year again- time to dry off the bikes and helmets and start practicing for the annual Bicycle Safety Rally! On Wednesday, June 11th, the Coolidge School PTO will host this fun and important event. All 3rd and 4th-grade students are invited to bring their bikes or scooters (and helmets!) to school.

This experience helps kick off the school year with team-building, outdoor fun, and lifelong memories.
