The holidays are upon us, and I wish every member of our Wyckoff School District community a healthy and happy holiday season. On Monday, the Wyckoff Board of Education honored outgoing trustees Dan McHugh and Tim Murtha, each of whom dedicated six years of volunteer service and leadership to our WSD students, staff and families. The Board also recognized on Monday the six middle school students who earned prestigious awards at the Model UN Best Delegate Conference held last month. Today, report cards will be issued to parents and guardians for students in grades 1-8, and next week, the NJ Start Strong Fall Assessment reports for grades 4-8 will be mailed home.  Enjoy the weekend.

EMS React Club Visits Local Senior Living Center

Students in the React Club at Eisenhower Middle School visited the Christian Health Care Center this week to lend some holiday cheer. The students, accompanied by their advisors Mrs. Dobson and  Mr. DeLoughry, donned holiday colors and led the local senior residents in singing carols to ring in the season. The React Club is a junior offshoot of Rotary International, an organization devoted to serving others. We are proud of these youngsters for carrying out one of WSD’s key goals: building a caring community.
