November 2025 Message from Dr. Postma

Dear Wyckoff Families,

As we enter November, we have several meaningful occasions to recognize. Students across the district have been preparing cards and messages to honor local veterans in observance of Veterans Day. Looking ahead, we also have Thanksgiving—a time to reflect on gratitude and the many ways our school community works together to support student learning and growth. Below are a few important updates, recent highlights, and upcoming events.

🎨 Parent-Teacher Conferences

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held November 10 and 17. These meetings are a chance to review student progress and learning goals with teachers. They also provide an opportunity to ask questions about classroom instruction, discuss strategies that support learning at home, and share any insights about your child’s needs or strengths. Scheduling and sign-up information has been provided by your school.

📅Parent Events

The Wyckoff PTO Coordinating Council is excited to offer a series of parent seminars over the course of this school year, in conjunction with NJ4S: Dec 2: The Attendance Agenda-Every Day Counts; February 3: Raising Resilience: Empowering Parents, Strengthening Kids. at EMS from 7–8pm. The Wyckoff Education Foundation (WEF) will host their next Mahjohng event on November 11 - register at wefnj.org

Fall Sports Update

We are proud of our student athletes and the dedication they have shown this season. Both EMS soccer teams are heading to the finals tomorrow. Go Generals! Our girls’ volleyball team, in its first season, recently completed a successful inaugural run, demonstrating teamwork, effort, and growth throughout the season.

📝 Assessment Updates

The NJSLA Field Test will be administered to all students in Grades 4–8 on November 5 and 12. Please see the information letter from the Assistant Superintendent for more details.

We appreciate your involvement and support as we continue to make this school year a positive and engaging experience for every student.

Sincerely,

sig
