June 2025 Message from Dr. Postma

Dear Wyckoff Families,

As we move into the final stretch of the school year, I want to take a moment to highlight a few recent milestones and celebrations across our schools.

🎓 Principal Appointments

I am pleased to announce that Mrs. Kelly O’Brien has been appointed principal of Washington School and Mr. Keith Dunbar will be the next principal of Sicomac School, both beginning their roles on August 1. They each bring meaningful experience, a deep dedication to students, and a strong belief in the importance of a supportive school community. We’re excited to welcome them to Wyckoff and confident they will continue the great work already happening at Washington and Sicomac.

🌟 Celebrating Student Achievement

Congratulations to our Eisenhower baseball team on their championship win, and to Ryder Kertesz who earned a top placement in the county for track and field. Well done to our all of our athletic teams this year, and thank you to the coaches who guided our students throughout the season and helped them succeed.

📅 Music Department Award

Spring concerts and musicals have filled our schools with music, and we’re proud to share that our district has been named a Best Community for Music Education by the NJ Association of Music Administrators. This recognition reflects the creativity and dedication of our music teachers and the enthusiasm of our students at every grade level.

🎉 Honoring Retirees

At our June Board of Education meeting, we honored this year’s retirees: Scott Blake, Cheryl Doughan, Audrey Fournier, Donna Garofalo, Lori Groenewal, Debra Moat, Caroline Petermann, Stephen Raimo, Anne Sternfeld and Susan Vroom. We thank them for their years of service and the lasting impact they’ve had on our schools and students.

Thank you for your partnership throughout the year. Wishing your family a safe, restful, and enjoyable summer.

Sincerely,

Dr. Postma
