School Board Meeting

April 14 - 18

Schools Closed

Dear Wyckoff School District Families,

I hope everyone is faring well as we start Daylight Savings and head towards spring. We have several great updates of happenings and achievements in our schools. Enjoy the news bits below, and be sure to check out the feed on our app “Wyckoff School District” for more.

School Board Meeting Date Change

Please note that the March school board meeting has been moved to March 18th (from March 11th) due to the extended deadline from the state for the submission of next year’s tentative budget. The details of the 2024-2025 budget will be presented to the community at a public hearing at the May 6, 2024 school board meeting.

"Schools to Watch" Redesignation

We are proud to report that Eisenhower Middle School (EMS) has earned the Schools to Watch redesignation by NJAMLE. EMS is one of 14 schools in the entire state to be named one of the Schools to Watch, based on a comprehensive evaluation by NJAMLE of the following areas: academic excellence, developmental responsiveness, social equity and organizational structures and processes.

Recognition and Awards

The EMS Girls Basketball Team won the championship this season, after an in-season record of 9-1. The team will be honored by the school board next week. The boys’ team also earned a record of 9-1. The EMS Battle of the Books teams took 3rd place in the annual competition held in Upper Saddle River last week, and the 8th grade band performed with the New Jersey Wind Symphony last month at the West Side Concert Series. We are proud of our students and staff for these notable accomplishments.

Sincerely,

 sig

Kerry L. Postma, Ed.D.
