Last Day of School

This week, we wrapped up the New Jersey Student Learning Assessments in grades 3-8. Our students have worked hard all year, under the guidance of our knowledgeable and caring faculty. The state assessments are just one opportunity to show what they have learned in language arts, math, and science. We anticipate initial score reports to be issued to the schools in late June. We will use this data to inform and tailor the instruction and programs in the Wyckoff School District as we continue our ongoing pursuit of excellence.

Student Entrepreneurs Sell Wares

This year’s TREP$ Marketplace at Eisenhower Middle School was a great success. With 180 students participating and 105 businesses established, and coordinated by Mrs. Simon, Ms. Ilenko, and Ms. Provenzano, the EMS parking lot turned into a true marketplace with professional products and talented young sales and marketing representatives. TREP$, short for enTREPreneur$, is an afterschool club that follows the trepsed.com program to teach students how to start their own businesses. The whole school community comes out to enjoy the TREP$ Marketplace where the young entrepreneurs launch their businesses together.

Spring Sports in Full Swing

Baseball and softball season have begun, and our players are off to a strong start. The EMS baseball team has a record of 5-1-1 so far, and the softball team is 6-0. The track and field season is drawing to a close, with the league championship meet scheduled for Tuesday of next week. We are proud of our talented athletes and coaches. Go Generals!

Spring Musicals and Concerts Underway

Music is in the air as our spring series of performances continues throughout this month and next. The sixth grade chorus and band put on an excellent concert for a packed audience this week, and our upper elementary students will hit the stage over the next few weeks for their musicals and instrumental concerts. Well done, and best of luck to our student musicians and teacher directors.
