On June 26th, Kourtney Moscarello (Lincoln, Grade 4 teacher) and Maia Mitchell (Coolidge, Grade 4 teacher) presented at the Tomorrow’s Children Today Conference in Philadelphia. The opening remarks were provided by Evolving Educators and keynoted by Jerry Blumengarten (@cybraryman1). Immediately following, Kourtney and Maia presented their workshop, “Motivation for Integration” (#lead4edtech) that was developed by these teachers along with Jigisha Vyas who was absent due to illness. The workshop focused on enhancing technology integration within an educational community by becoming a technology leader. They described technology leaders as those who pass on best practices from their own classrooms to their educational communities. They shared how they inspire and encourage their colleagues to infuse technology within their daily repertoire. Kourtney and Maia highlighted how Wyckoff has provided opportunities for teacher leadership and inspired other educators to effectively lead technology integration within their own communities. All the workshop participants left with new strategies and resources for strategic implementation of their classroom-proven practices. Congratulations to Kourtney and Maia for presenting an excellent workshop!
Mr. Famularo, Lauren Griffith and Kristen Somers attended the conference as well.
