About Us

The Wyckoff School District (WSD) is the largest PreK to 8th grade school district in Bergen County, New Jersey, serving approximately 2,000 students across four (PreK-5) elementary schools and one (6-8) middle school. Distinctions earned among WSD schools include New Jersey Star School, National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, New Jersey School to Watch, and New Jersey Department of Education Reward School for High Achievement.

The Wyckoff School District prioritizes engaging our students in learning opportunities that enable and empower them to develop the knowledge, skills, and dispositions that will prepare them as leaders and innovators in the future. Our faculty and staff are continuously engaged in meaningful collaboration and professional development to support teaching and learning. Extracurricular offerings for WSD students include music, art, interest clubs, and intramural and interscholastic sports. The Wyckoff YMCA provides before and after care at each of the district's four elementary schools.

In order to help our students be successful in and out of school, the Wyckoff School District incorporates Responsive Classroom principles, to equip youngsters with competencies such as cooperation, responsibility, perseverance, empathy, and self-control.

Parents, guardians, and community members are an active part of the Wyckoff School District. The Wyckoff PTO provides programs that foster community and provide financial support for our schools. The Wyckoff Education Foundation funds progressive educational initiatives for all schools.
