Learning continues this July! Wyckoff Summer Academies will be an in-person experience for all Wyckoff District Students Only. Come and explore engaging, creative, and academic classes that motivate and inspire students to continue learning in a fun environment!

How Does it Work? 

  • The Wyckoff Summer Academies is a program designed for children entering Kindergarten through 8th grade. Please select classes based on your child’s grade in September 2022.
  •  Wyckoff district students only may register for classes. This year the program will run for $25 per student only. All materials for the classes are included.  
  • Registration and class preference selection will be open from February 7th at 8 am o March 4th at 4 pm. 
  • Schedules will be created and shared on approximately April 1st.
  • Schedules must be confirmed by April 22.
  • If you miss the registration window a waitlist form will be open and spots will be filled starting in June.

Classes are offered in 2-week sessions only.
Students must attend both weeks of the session.

Session 1: July 5 - July 15

Session 2: July 18 - July 29

 

Grades K - 2

  • Drop Off 8:15 
    • P1 = 8:20-9:10
    • P2 = 9:15-10:05
    • Recess/Snack 10:10-10:30 
    • P3 = 10:35-11:25
    • P4 = 11:30-12:20
  • Pick-up 12:30 

Grades 3 - 8

  • Drop Off 8:15 
    • P1 = 8:20-9:10
    • P2 = 9:15-10:05
    • P3 = 10:10-11:00
    • Recess/Snack 11:05-11:25 
    • P4 = 11:30-12:20
  • Pick-up 12:30 


Half day Vs Full Day Options:

Period 1 and 2 = half day 8:15 - 10:05 pick up 10:10
Period 3 and 4 = half day 10:05 - 12:20 pick up 12:30
Full day = 8:15 - 12:30


Current 7th, 8th, and former Eisenhower high school students may volunteer to be counselors starting in April - the application link is here.

Who Can Register? Any Wyckoff District Student entering Kindergarten to 8th grade can register for classes. Wyckoff District existing 7th, 8th, and former EMS high school students may volunteer to be counselors. Volunteers' applications will be available in April.
Who Teaches the Classes? Classes are taught by certified teachers. Each teacher has designed classes based on his/her individual creativity, special interests, talent, and abilities. 

What Determines a Class Schedule? Enrollment must be a minimum of ten students for courses to run and fill at approximately sixteen. Families will be notified of their student’s schedules with grade-level appropriate offerings.  

Cancellation Policy:  Our decision to run sections of classes depends on your selections. Once schedules are shared a one-time non-refundable registration fee of $25 per student must be paid to secure each student's spot.

What Student Information is Needed?

Additional information will be collected when you confirm your schedules. If your child has an order for epinephrine or needs any medications during the summer program, please provide the following on the first day of school, July 5: 

1.) Medication in its original container 

2.) Written orders from your healthcare provider 

3.) Your written permission to administer medication. In order to maintain your child’s health and safety, allergy and/or medical concerns may be shared with pertinent staff.

Payment: 

There is a $25 fee per student. No additional payments are required. This fee covers the entire summer.
