Dear Grade 5 Parents/Guardians,
I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself and welcome you and your family to 5P! I am Mallory Provost and I will be your child’s fifth-grade homeroom teacher this year. As some of you may know, we departmentalize in fifth grade. I teach my homeroom the following subjects: reading, writing, social studies, and science. I am so excited to meet you and your family, as we work together to make your child’s final year at Lincoln full of discovery, inquisition, and fun!
Let me tell you a little bit about myself. This is my fifth year teaching fifth grade in the Wyckoff School District. I am originally from Boston, which is where I received a master’s degree in Elementary Education from Lesley University. My educational background also includes a B.A. in Journalism from Pennsylvania State University. I absolutely love being a teacher and learning new things from my students and colleagues.
I have dedicated several weeks to prepare for the upcoming school year. I have had the opportunity to meet with your child’s fourth-grade teachers, along with several members of Lincoln’s tremendous support staff to understand your child’s academic and social history.
I will do my best to make the transition to fifth grade as easy as possible, and I am confident that your child’s last year at Lincoln School will be a memorable one! If there is anything that you or your child needs, or if you have any other information you would like to share, please feel free to contact me at any point.
I look forward to meeting you and working with your child!
