Mrs. Panzitta

How kind of you to visit! Mrs. Panzitta has been teaching Vocal Music at Lincoln Elementary School for 14 years. She was also the Assistant Director of Eisenhower Middle School's musical in past years. Before teaching in Wyckoff, she attended Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, where she was also an assistant director of the Rutgers Children's Choir. She holds a Bachelors of Music Education degree with Vocal Specialization and is a Soprano singer as well as a clarinetist.

Mrs. Panzitta has sung with the Morris Choral Society for three years, the New Jersey Choral Society during the 2018 season, the RU Kirkpatrick Choir, University Choir, Clifton High School Choir, and the Madrigal Singers. Gratefully, Mrs. Panzitta has had the honor of performing in Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York City and has performed solos with the Morris Choral Society, William Paterson Summer Chorus, and various churches. She directs the adult choir at her church, as well. Mrs. Panzitta especially loves to sing opera selections, German lieder songs, French art songs, and she enjoys listening to many genres, especially rock n' roll! She also teaches singing lessons to students in her home studio. In addition, Mrs. Panzitta has played the clarinet since she was a child, as well as in the Rutgers Concert Band and the CHS orchestra, wind ensemble, and Mustang Marching Band.

Mrs. Panzitta is a member of NAfME (The National Association for Music Education) and regularly attends conferences. Music technology being of particular interest, she has also taught courses to Wyckoff teachers on how to incorporate technology, SMARTBoard programs, and GarageBand into their classroom teaching. New initiatives include using the Wyckoff Quaver Music curriculum on student Chromebooks, cultivating musical creation in the Lincoln Makerspace (STEAM), making music on iPads for 'iBands' in music class, using Google Classroom with the upper grades, and continuing to use the Music Lab workstations provided by the PTO and our Dad's Night fundraiser. Currently, Mrs. Panzitta is persuing a degree in Educational Leadership at Montclair State University.

She is very excited for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year with all of her wonderful Lincoln student musicians!
