School Calendar Update

At their March 28th meeting, the Board of Education approved an update to the 2021-2022 District Calendar. The two unused snow days resulted in a change to the last day of school. The last day for students is now Tuesday, June 21, 2022, with early dismissal on June 17, 20 and 21. To view the revised calendar, visit our website at wyckoffschools.org. State testing for grades 3 to 8 will take place between May 4 and May 13, 2022.

Summer Academies Schedules Released

Yesterday, families that registered for the 2022 WSD Summer Academies Program received via email their children’s proposed schedule of summer enrichment classes. The completed confirmation form and payment of the registration fee are due on April 22. Volunteer counselor positions are available for students in grades 7 and above. For details, visit our website at wyckoffschools.org.

Renowned Speakers to Visit EMS

On Monday, April 4th, Eisenhower Middle School (EMS) will host a myriad of outside speakers who will share inspirational stories of hope and motivation with students in grades six through eight. This annual event, known as 3Rs Day, teaches students ways to reflect, to respect, and to build resilience. The EMS PTO will host the event, which was generously sponsored by various businesses, individuals, and families in town.

Spelling Bee Winner Announced at GWS

Rylee Frank, a third grader at George Washington School (GWS), took home the title of Spelling Bee Champion last week after advancing through several rounds of competition held at her school. Congratulations to Rylee on the win, and to all participants in the annual GWS Bee.

Sixth Graders Visit Frost Valley

The sixth grade returns from New York State today after a two-night stay at the Frost Valley YMCA Retreat Center. Students participated in team-building activities and environmental classes on the 5,500 acre campus in the Catskills. A big thank you to the chaperones who accompanied the sixth grade class on this outdoor education trip.
