Girls' Basketball Team Wins Championship, Parent Seminar, Staff Member's Son to Compete in Paralympics

Next week, all WSD schools are closed for winter break. I wish all of our students, staff and families an enjoyable week. We expect updated guidelines from the New Jersey Department of Health next week, and will communicate with you once we have received them. As we move forward to brighter times, we look forward to putting contact tracing and related quarantines behind us. More to come on this after the winter break.
Girls' Basketball Team Wins Championship
Congratulations to the EMS girls’ basketball team and Coach Ciarlo on winning the championship this week. The Generals brought the trophy home after an undefeated season and a final exciting win against River Dell, 55-38. The players will be recognized at next month’s school board meeting.
Upcoming Parent Seminar
Reminder: On March 2nd, the Wyckoff Connected Parents Series continues with “Emotional Regulation and Conflict Resolution” presented by WSD elementary and middle school teachers and instructional coaches. This seminar will take place at Coolidge School and will review strategies for supporting students' social-emotional development at home and in school. Please see our district website for the registration link and for a full list of offerings in the Connected Parents series.
WSD Staff Member's Son to Compete in Paralympics
After the Olympics are the Winter Paralympic Games, beginning March 4th in Beijing, and televised on NBC. Keep an eye out for returning gold medalist Jack Wallace, son of Coolidge classroom aide Barbara Wallace, playing Sled Hockey on Team USA.
