Welcome to Washington School. As
principal, I am fortunate to work with a professional staff that is
dedicated, talented, and caring as they work tirelessly to continue
providing the outstanding programs and instruction that distinguish
us. Our primary concern is the academic, social, emotional, and
physical well being of our students. As a staff we are dedicated to
meeting the needs of the whole child, designing real life applications
of instructional concepts, fostering the values of caring and respect,
and creating an atmosphere where children feel safe, nurtured and
supported.
We recognize that our greatest asset is our
student body. Our hope is that they develop and maintain confidence in
themselves as learners and valued participants in this community. We
anticipate that they will grow to be happy and productive citizens who
are able to work with others and look beyond themselves. Most of all,
we are optimistic that they will emerge with the knowledge that there
is always room and time to grow.
We can accomplish this by
continuing to establish an environment for learning that promotes
cooperation, caring and communication. The construction of this
learning environment is a job that requires the active participation of
all members of our school community—students, educators, and parents.
Together we can build a place where children can reach their dreams! I
